I don't know why Twilight being an Alicorn is a big deal either. I looked up "Twilight Sparkle - Alicorn" and apparently fans are worried about her becoming "too perfect"....but I dunno. I think she wouldn't let anything go to her head. She uses the Elements of Harmony wisely, so I think she will be a good monarch.
Nice pose.
1. The people who work on the show have confirmed that "princess" is simply a title of honor, even if some have ruling authority. An honor like being knighted, or being the pope (of course to a different extent)
2. To those fans about the whole alicorn immortal thing, she's not immortal now that she's an alicorn. Yes, Celestia and Luna have lived for over 1000 years, but that just means their very long lived. I understand why some think this, but their NOT immortal, just long lived. Time is relative anyway...
3. Twilight's character is NOT going to change just because she has a crown and a pair of wings. C'mon!
4. Most of what people fear is just SPECULATION. When has speculation ever been proven right? Almost never. There's a reason we shouldn't jump to conclusions...
Of course, it will at least be interesting to see what happens when Season 4 comes around....
Overall, we still have the same Twilight we all know, just with a crown and wings, oh, and of course the kind of character change that comes naturally with any story. I could've thrown a shit fit about Luffy from One Piece gaining new abliities and a permanent x-scar on his chest, but I didn't because I was rational about it. We can't get upset every time a fictional character changes. People change in real life too, people.
Know what I mean?
PS: Oh, yeah and to those who think the whole Alicorn thing is a marketing ploy by Hasbro, don't be so PARANOID people! I mean, yeah, corporations do dumb shit sometimes but come on!
